Tvm: As part of UDF Government’s 100 days programme in Kerala, the Minister for Panchayats & Social Welfare, Dr. M K Muneer inaugurated a host of web initiatives of the Government’s flagship e-Governance programme in Local Government Institutions developed by Information Kerala Mission (IKM). The State level helpdesk (0471-2579779), Sevana Social Welfare Pension website (welfarepension.lsgkerala.gov.in) and Sthapana for Panchayat Employees Provident Fund website (kpepf.lsgkerala.gov.in) are some of them.
The revamped IKM website (infokerala.org) was also inaugurated by the Minister at the IKM headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on September 05, 2011. The helpdesk can be used for technical assistance regarding different software applications developed by IKM as well as for clarification of doubts.
Speaking at the function, the Minister said, “These e-govenance initiatives will improve the quality of services being given from the Local Self Government institutions to the citizens and also the welfare of the employees working in them.”
Giving an overview of the activities at IKM, M Samsuddin, Director, IKM said, “977 Grama Panchayats, 152 Block Panchayats, 60 Municipalities, and five Corporations across Kerala have been supplied with the necessary hardware, networking equipment and application software for implementing these e-governance programmes. The system would be extended to all Panchayats during this financial year.”
The other online services developed by IKM for Local Self Government (LSG) Department are Sthapana for Municipal Employees Provident Fund (kmpecpf.lsgkerala.gov.in), Local Self Government Department Portal (lsgkerala.gov.in), Sevana Civil Registration for Birth, Death & Marriage Registration (cr.lsgkerala.gov.in), Sulekha Plan Monitoring for Plan Details of LSGI’s (sulekhaweb.lsgkerala.gov.in), Sanchaya Property Tax & e-Payment (tax.lsgkerala.gov.in), Geographic Information System based Cadastral Maps (gis.lsgkerala.gov.in), Soochika File Tracking (filetracking.lsgkerala.gov.in) and Government orders, Circulars and Gazette Notifications (go.lsgkerala.gov.in).
