Munich: Germany’s Network of Automotive Excellence (NoAE) has called for papers in technology innovation for the fifth edition of its annual competition. Innovations are being sought under four main topic clusters – Communication & Mobility, Powertrain & Electrification, Material & Manufacturing and Design & Interior. Companies, research institutions and innovators, who can make contributions to these topics, can submit the papers for this competition.
NoAE was founded in 2002 by the leaders of the automotive industry with the collaboration of the European Commission. NoAE is an interregional automotive partner of ‘Initiative Networks of Competence Germany’ by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, that brings together the best-performing innovation clusters in Germany. In NoAE, automobile manufacturers, suppliers, development partners and research institutes as well as partners from the mobility industry cooperate on small or larger projects. In 2010, over 400 companies, universities, research institutes, founders and inventors from 23 countries participated in the NoAE Innovations Competition.
The innovations champions will be determined by February 2012 and NoAE will lend support for one year, so that ideas and innovations will become projects. The champions will get an opportunity to present themselves at the ‘From Ideas and Innovations to International Cooperations and Projects’ event in Düsseldorf, Germany on April 18, 2012. NoAE will also present them to an international innovations community across 20 countries for one year.
Hamburg based Anita Shukla, who is coordinating the Indian participation for the NoAE Innovations Competition 2011, said, “There is much innovation in IT coming from India, especially from Kerala where there are so many start-up companies in Technopark, Trivandum. There is so much talent in Kerala, I met many who are doing research in this field.
