Tvm: Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO), the Japanese world leader in electrical and electronic equipments and Network Systems & Technologies (NeST), the Technopark, Trivandrum based provider of specialised Software and Engineering services has announced the setting up of an exclusive development centre here. The Centre was inaugurated by Hiroyuki Morikane, Head – Sanda Works, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation on February 10, 2012.
The exclusive development centre located at NeST Towers, the state-of-the art building of NeST inside the Technopark campus will cater to the increasing demand for complex software found in new generation cars. The centre, with an initial capacity for 200 engineers, will be staffed by highly qualified and experienced NeST engineers to develop advanced in-vehicle systems that MELCO supplies to the world’s leading car manufacturers.
In a release, N Jehangir, Vice Chairman & MD, NeST Group said, “The setting up of this exclusive development centre is a milestone in the relationship between NeST and MELCO. With software requirements for the transportation sector increasing day by day, NeST considers this relationship to be strategically important for its ambitious growth plans in engineering and software services”.
S Sasi Kumar, President, NeST Software said, “With over 1,500 engineers in Technopark, working on cutting edge technologies in VLSI, hardware design, software and algorithms development, NeST is a natural choice for developing complex audio, video and navigation systems for companies like MELCO.
