Tvm: The German Consulate General in Bangalore is organising a session on ‘Visa Formalities to Germany’ for the business community on February 17, 2012 at the Park Centre in Technopark, Trivandrum at 11.30 am. Ms. Susanne Henseleit, Consul & Head of the Visa Section, will explain the new formalities and answer the questions. A separate session for students and researchers is also being organised at the Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum at 9.30 am, the same day.
Depending on the purpose and duration of stay in Germany, a person can either apply for a short-term ‘Schengen visa’ or for a long-term ‘German national visa’ to live and work/study in Germany. The consular districts falling under the jurisdiction of Bangalore Consulate General are Karnataka and Kerala.
The event is being held as part of the ‘Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities’ programme which celebrates the 60th anniversary of Indo-German diplomatic ties and the year of Germany in India. The major project is expected to provide a new momentum to the development of Indo-German cooperation. The project is being initiated by the German Federal Foreign Office, the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Goethe-Institut.
