Nasscom Emerge Forum Fridays’ 2.0 session on VC funding on Mar 16


Tvm: NASSCOM is organising a workshop on ‘Structuring a business plan to pitch to Angels and Venture Capitalists’, in association with Indian Angel Network on March 16 2012 in Trivandrum as part of the Nasscom Emerge Forum Fridays’ 2.0 events. The session, the 18th in this series, will be handled by Padmaja Ruparel, President of the Indian Angel Network (IAN) and will be held at the Park Centre in Technopark. Prior registration is mandatory for this paid event.

According to a release from Nasscom Regional Centre, the workshop will focus on topics like – do you have it in you to be a successful entrepreneur, is it the right time to scale up, how to do a business plans and investor pitches, is it the right time to consider funding and how to scale up? The workshop will explore these challenges in a structured manner and suggests solutions to address them.

Padmaja Ruparel is the President of IAN, India’s first and now the largest group of business angels, comprising the who’s who of successful entrepreneurs and dynamic CEOs from India and overseas. She built this organisation from inception, which in a little over 3 years has over 200 investors in the network with a portfolio of 30 companies across multiple sectors and geographies; and the most dynamic media strategy in the early stage entrepreneurial eco system.

With a wide range of experience of over 22 years, Padmaja has been deeply involved in starting and growing organisations in the IT and investing space. She has been key in reviving the Indian Venture Capital Association, India’s oldest and largest association of VC and PE firms and is the CFO of the organisation today.

The workshop is targeted at CXO’s, Senior Management, Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, Decision Makers and Marketing / Business Development Professionals from the IT industry.
