PMI Kerala to host its annual conference at Kochi on June 9


Kochi: The Kerala Chapter of Project Management Institute is organising its annual one day conference on Project Management, ‘Waves – 2012’ at Kochi on June 09, 2012. The theme of the conference is ‘Project Management – a Life Skill’. This is the second annual conference of the Kerala Chapter following the first successful conference held in Trivandrum in 2011.

As per a communiqué from PMI Kerala, this conference is aimed at providing an opportunity for all project management practitioners in and around Kerala to come together and get benefitted from the knowledge and experience of experts working in different sectors. As the Indian economy stands to grow multiple folds, efficient project managers are required to execute an ever growing number of complex projects successfully.

According to the organisers, the key objectives of this conference are: 
1. Enable more middle level managers to learn and improve project management skills and deliver business value through effective project management 
2. Delivery Excellence through cross industry best practices sharing
3. Attract more business to Kerala

The conference will be inaugurated with a keynote address by Dr. E Sreedharan, Principal Advisor to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the man behind success of several complex infrastructure projects in the country. It will be followed by sessions by an array of eminent business leaders and experts including Kochouseph Chittilapally, Founder & Vice Chairman, V-Guard Industries and Raj Kalady, MD, PMI. There will be a panel discussion also to be followed by best paper award distribution.
