Vodafone extends 4G coverage in Kerala to Kozhikode


Kozhikode: Following its successful launch in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram last month (December 2015), Vodafone India today announced the roll out of its next generation, high speed 4G network in Kozhikode. With this launch, Vodafone’s 4G services are now available across 14 towns in Kerala.

Vodafone today also announced international roaming on 4G, thus becoming the first operator in the country to do so. Customers in Kerala are now offered international roaming on 4G to UK, Germany, Spain and Netherlands.

Vodafone 4G will significantly enhance the mobile internet experience for customers who will be able to download / upload videos and music faster, enjoy seamless video chats and connect on their favourite apps with greater ease. Customers will also be able to enjoy features like high definition video streaming, mobile gaming and two-way video calling.

Vodafone is offering a bonanza of special benefits like free upgrade to 4G for all Vodafone customers in Kozhikode along with 4G SIM. The 4G packs range from a trial pack of 120MB at Rs 29 to a bonanza pack of 20GB at Rs 2499.

Over the last 18 months, the company has invested more than Rs 700 crores in Kerala towards network expansion and modernization to build a technology and energy efficient network architecture to support the volumes and need for speed from customers.
