Bangalore: LearnOn Technology Solutions, a Kochi-based an ed-tech startup that operates a cloud-based learning platform for K-12 schools and a subsidiary of JMR Infotech, has been awarded as the winner for Best Innovation in Education Technology for Schools at the 7th World Education Summit 2016, held in New Delhi.
Sameer Ahmad, CEO & Co-founder of LearnOn Technology Solutions, received the award from Dr. N K Sahu, Economic Advisor, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
“We are honoured to receive the award and delighted that LearnOn has been recognized for its capability in enabling differentiated learning. This milestone in our journey to excellence will definitely fuel us to achieve greater heights,” said Sameer.
The competition was organized by Elets Technomedia and the World Education Awards recognizes the innovative initiatives in the field of education globally.
Innovation lies at the core of LearnOn which has launched innovative solutions C-Link and C-Talk. C-Link, a platform for differentiated learning which will help schools enhance students’ performance, improve staff effectiveness & efficiency, increase parents’ engagement and improves school’s performance rating. C-Talk is an integrated communication app, fostering parent-teacher communication to enhance student learning.
LearnOn was founded by Sameer and Sumesh Sadanandan in 2014. An MBA from The University of Western Ontario – Richard Ivey School of Business, Sameer has previously worked with Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, AlRajhi Bank and Infosys. Sadanandan is a B Tech from MG University, Kerala and worked with SunTec Business Solutions and Computer Sciences Corporation before co-founding LearnOn. The startup received seed funding from JMR Infotech in Novemeber, 2015.
