Trivandrum: The State level final of the ICT Academy of Kerala’s technical contest for engineering students ‘ICTAK – Techathlon’ is scheduled to be held in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram on November 10 & 11, 2016.
In a unique format created by ICT Academy, 20 teams from various engineering colleges across Kerala will be competing for the Winner’s Trophy. 52 teams participated in the online prelims conducted on October 22. The winning team will take home Rs. 1,00,000/- as cash prize and the Runners up will get a Cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-.
The format of the contest is aligned to the job selection process, where each team has to win points on Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Boardroom Interview, Prototype Modelling, Technical Quiz, and Engineering Problem Solving. The points from individual events are accumulated to declare the winner and the runner-up.
“The ICTAK-Techathlon is a novel way of inspiring young minds to gain skills that will help in fulfilling their career dreams as a future Employee or as Entrepreneurs . We are very happy at the quality of students participating at the event and we will continue our efforts through these contests every year”, said Santhosh Kurup, CEO of ICTAK.
This is the second edition of the Techathlon being organised by the ICT Academy of Kerala. Thrissur based Joythi Engineering College has emerged as the winners of the first Techathlon, with Kochi based TocH Institute of Science and Technology as runners up.
