Trivandrum: On May 3rd, when the results of SSLC exam 2018 was declared, the results portal of KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education) www.results.itschool.gov.in witnessed a whopping 2.13 Crore ‘hits’.
According to the analytics available with KITE, 81% of users browsed the results through mobile devices, while 16% used Laptops/Desktops and 2% used Tablet. Android was the favourite Operating System which was used by 80% users, while 13% user browsed through Windows Operating System. A total of 94.90% users were from India while 4.5% users were from the Gulf Countries and in that UAE topped with 2%.
In terms of browsers, it was Chrome which topped with 54% users, while Android Webview came second with 13.60% and UC browser secured the third position with 12.5%. While Firefox’ browser could only manage 4% of users, the once-favourite-of all ‘Internet Explorer’ browser’ could not even record 0.5% users. A massive 15 lakh people had visited the site during this day.
KITE had made available the results also through its ‘Saphalam 2018’ mobile app, which was downloaded by over 50,000 users from Google Play Store. The App came second in the Trendings in Education sector in the early hours of the result declaration. The results were hosted in the Cloud in the form of text, for easy viewing and access, which resulted in a response time of less than 2 seconds for the portal, which was hugely appreciated by the user community.
“We would make available the Higher Secondary results also in the same portal and mobile App and a new mobile view mechanism would also be enabled in the portal for easy viewing in mobile devices’, said K Anvar Sadath, Vice Chairman & Executive Director, KITE.
