Trivandrum: TRIMA 2013, the annual management convention of the Trivandrum Management Association will be held on July 22 & 23, 2013. With the key theme ‘Innovations for Tomorrow’, the convention will deliberate on fostering innovation as an exercise to ensure sustainable, equitable growth in the Kerala context.
It will cover issues pertaining to innovation, providing concrete examples of technology transfer relating to IT, e-governance, healthcare, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
Union Minister of State for HRD, Dr. Shashi Tharoor will inaugurate the convention. Shri P K Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries & IT will preside over. The TMA Award for Innovations in Waste Management and the TMA HLL Award for Corporate Social Responsibility will be distributed on the occasion.
The State’s initiatives in IT sector will be portrayed in the technical session by P H Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary – IT. Binu Nair, Senior Technical Consultant, CISCO Systems will elaborate on technological innovations impacting governance. G Vijayaraghavan, Member – Kerala State Planning Board will be the moderator.
Innovations for Creating Smarter Cities and Healthcare will be detailed by Anil Menon, Director – Marketing, IBM and Dr. M I Sahadulla, CMD, KIMS Hospital respectively. Sessions on social innovation and entrepreneurship will be delivered by Sanjay Vijayakumar , Chairman, Startup Village and Dr. K B Valsala Kumar IAS, Executive Director, Kudumbashree.
C Ashuthosh, Director – Corporate Affairs, Intel South Asia will deliver special address on Innovation Economy. E K Bharat Bhushan IAS, Chief Secretary – Government of Kerala will deliver valedictory address.
Trivandrum Management Association is the regional chapter of all India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi, the largest forum of management professionals in the country. Established in 1985, TMA is a 350-odd membership professional body having representations from government and corporate organizations in Trivandrum.
